The Science of Sound

Sound therapy works with your body's natural ability to respond to vibration. When specific low-frequency sound waves pass through your body, they activate specialized receptors beneath your skin — the same ones that help you sense touch and movement. Different frequencies trigger different responses, from deep relaxation to heightened mental clarity.

One frequency stands out. At 40 Hz, sound activates gamma brain waves — the rhythm your brain uses for focus, memory, and clear thinking.

Researchers at MIT wanted to know what happens when you sustain that 40 Hz stimulation. What they found was striking: in both animal studies and early human trials, 40 Hz sound and light appeared to reduce key markers of Alzheimer's disease. The brain seemed to clear waste more efficiently, inflammation went down, and connections between brain cells improved.

Sound isn't just something you hear. At the right frequency, it can change what's happening inside your brain — and researchers are only beginning to understand how far that goes.

What is a Sound Bath?

Sound baths harness the power of vibrational frequencies to foster holistic wellbeing. Sound is vibration, and vibration is energy—when the right frequencies wash over you, they create coherence between the brain and heart, helping to organize and resolve internal conflicts.

When in resonance, your energy naturally balances. Your mind quiets. Your body softens. During each session, I channel the frequencies that are most healing for you in this present moment—allowing the sound to meet you exactly where you are.
